Canadian Crevice Gardener - Paul Spriggs

Discover how carefully arranged stone and free-draining soil can transform challenging spaces into thriving miniature landscapes. Canadian crevice gardener, designer and author Paul Spriggs visits Ōamaru as part of the 2026 Steve Newall Memorial Travelling Speaker Tour. Drawing on 30 years of rock-gardening experience, Paul will explore the principles behind crevice gardens and their ability to support alpine, dwarf and other plants adapted to rocky environments. The evening begins with plant sales and raffles before Paul presents Crevice Gardening for Adventurous Gardeners. Garden club members, home gardeners and curious newcomers are all welcome.
