Guinea Pig Adoption Event at Pet Central Timaru

Otago Cavy Club is hosting a Guinea Pig Adoption Day at Pet Central Timaru, giving families, animal lovers, and future guinea pig owners the chance to meet healthy cavies looking for new homes. Visitors can learn about proper guinea pig care, ask questions, and find out more about getting started in showing cavies.

The event is also a helpful opportunity to learn what guinea pigs need at home, from quality hay and pellets through to bedding, cages, hides, and enrichment toys. Guinea pigs will be available in same-sex pairs unless you already have a guinea pig on its own. Each pair is $100. The breeders involved focus on health, temperament, correct sexing, and responsible care, and are happy to share guidance with new owners.
