Light the Way for a New Oamaru Abulance Station

Hato Hone St John Ōamaru is inviting the community to Harbour Street for a fun, hands-on Giving Day fundraiser to help light the way towards a new fit-for-purpose Ōamaru Ambulance Station. Two bikes, one old and one new, will be pedalled continuously to power a light — and as long as the pedals keep turning, the light stays on.

Everyone is welcome to take a turn on the bike, cheer others on, enjoy the atmosphere, and support the people who respond when the community needs them most. There will be spot prizes, raffles, heaters, free/koha food including a sausage sizzle, bacon butties, candy floss and slushies, plus a behind-the-scenes look at St John crews, equipment, and emergency care. Donations made during Giving Day will be matched, helping every dollar go further.
