Roarsome Weekend

Dinosaurs are taking over Tūhura Otago Museum for a family-friendly opening weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. Explore the new Dinosaurs: Surviving Extinction exhibition, then enjoy dinosaur crafts, face painting, a photo booth and encounters with some of their living distant relatives. Saturday also features a lucky dip, balloon twisting, a bearded dragon demonstration and a bookable dinosaur diorama workshop.

On Sunday, families can celebrate Father’s Day with a dinosaur high tea or a screening of The Good Dinosaur. Activities run from 10am to 5pm across the museum. Exhibition entry is $10, while selected activities have additional charges and require advance booking.
