Springston Trophy 2026

Springston Trophy 2026 is set to bring pony club riders, families, supporters, and equestrian communities together for the 54th Springston Trophy, proudly hosted by Ashburton Pony Clubs: Mill Creek, Methven, Rakaia, and Tinwald. Running from Thursday 1 October to Sunday 4 October 2026, this much-loved pony club event offers a memorable platform for rider development, team spirit, and pony club camaraderie.

Across four days, riders will take part in a full programme including a welcome and cross country course walk, dressage, cross country, show jumping, and mounted prizegiving. The event will be based at Ashburton A&P Show Grounds, with teams camping on site and access to yards, wash bays, toilets, showers, and unpowered camping areas. Cross country will take place at Rakaia, where work is underway on a new course. Team nominations close Monday 13 July 2026. Teams are encouraged to review the nomination information, entry requirements, and team composition options, with the organising committee keen to support as many eligible riders as possible to attend.
