Steampunk NZ Festival 2026

Steampunk NZ Festival 2026 is a multi-day celebration of steampunk culture taking place in Ōamaru from Thursday 28 May to Monday 1 June 2026. The 2026 theme, “Frontiers of Steam,” invites visitors to explore the frontiers of science, invention, exploration, time, and imagination, with a touch of wild west flair. The festival combines classic steampunk style with fresh creative experiences each year, including fashion, costume, and creative challenges, while welcoming both dedicated steampunk enthusiasts and curious newcomers. Tickets go on sale on Friday 10 April at 10pm.
