Volunteer Planting Session

Our Waitarakao is hosting a community planting session along Papaka Stream, inviting locals to get outdoors, meet others, and help plant natives in the Waitarakao catchment. This relaxed planting session is a chance to make a practical difference to the local environment, with volunteers welcome to come and go as needed.

The session is expected to run for around three to four hours, and every bit of help is appreciated. Please wear sensible footwear and bring clothing layers for changing weather, as the ground may be muddy. Bring gloves and a spade if you have them, along with a drink bottle and snacks. A few extra gloves and spades will be available.
