New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby Nationals and Disability Sport Festival

Ōtepoti Dunedin will welcome athletes from around the country for the New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby Nationals and an accompanying disability sports festival from 24–27 September. The programme begins with a para ice hockey have-a-go session at Dunedin Ice Stadium, followed by three days of fast-paced wheelchair rugby at the Edgar Centre’s Breeze Arena from Friday through Sunday.

Tournament entry is free for spectators, with the community encouraged to head along and support the competing teams. A range of other adaptive and para sport activities will also be available to try throughout the weekend, offering a welcoming introduction for anyone interested in getting involved. Match times and activity schedules will be announced closer to the event.
